Water fun day

 On this beautiful sunny day the whole of Glenbrae school dressed up in their house colors and we all looked awesome. We all went to our classes and got ready for the big day ahead of us. We quickly got into our lines and made our way to the courts. I was so nervous and happy at the same time I was so speechless. 

We all lined up and walked to our first game which was lava flow done by Mrs Tofa and Mrs Raj. We were told the instructions, I got even more excited and said to myself it was game mode time.[ By the time the bell rang I quickly picked up the cup and filled it up with water, I walked on the bench, zigzagged around the cones and quickly ran as fast as I could to tip all the water into the bucket.

Once we all finished walking on the benches and zigzagging around the cones we all got to line up and walked up the hill to the water slide done by Mrs Athuhiva and Mrs Pumeie. I felt so tired and amazed I could not catch my breath. We were told the rules from Mrs Athuhiva. I was feeling a bit nervous because I thought I would go really slow while going down the water slide then I saw it was my turn so I quickly dipped my cup into the bucket and ran as fast as I could, when I was sliding down I was so afraid I would tip all the water out and I did so I walked back up the hill where my class was and passed the cup to the next person.

When we all were sliding down the slide the bell had rung so we all gathered up our belongings and headed off to our next game called (spongebob) done by Mrs Repata and Ms Tara. Mrs Repata told us the instructions on how to play spongebob we first picked up the sponge and passed it over and under to our  house mates and the last person in the end of the line has to run really fast and squeeze all the water out of the sponge I felt so fascinating when I took a quick look at all the buckets and saw that all the house colors of buckets were almost full so I sprinted with all of what I had and quickly dipped the sponge in the bucket and went over and under again.

When I got to the end of the line again the bell had rung for all of the classes to rotate. We were so happy because we got to go to the pool where Whae Moana and Mrs Naudo were.

We lined up by the gate full of excitement, Whae Moana told us all to get a buddy and go into the pool I looked around and saw that Tiara did not have a buddy so I went to Tiara and asked if she wanted to be buddies and she said yes so we walked by the pool and went in. When I first dipped my feet in the pool It was warm and felt great. Whea moana told us when the bell rings we are doing a piggy bank race but this game was really for fun there was no winning or losing so it was a fair play. When the bell rang Tiara ran as fast as she could but we would fall and fall, it was so fun and enjoyable.

By the time me and tiara were playing with the others the bell rang for us to move to our next game which was holly molly done by Mr Nath and Jesiah. As I was listening to Mr Nath say the rules I was saying to myself this will be fun because all we had to do was pick up the cup that had 4 holes, dip it in and run as fast as you could to reach the bucket. It was super hard at first but I got used to it. When I went to check all the house color buckets were a;ready getting full so I quickly rushed back to my house mates and cheered them on.

Once the bell rang we had to go to our next destination which was a water balloon game done by Mrs Manuel And Mrs puvale. I went to join the rest of the line in my house team and when I was about to get ready I was feeling a bit scared because I was wet and I thought I would fall off the bench so I picked up a balloon and walked on the bench and focused on where my feet were going. As I was walking I hadn't noticed I was almost there so I looked up and I was almost about to slip but lucky I had a good grip on the bench so when I stood foot on the floor I quickly ran as fast as I could to crawl under the desks, I saw all my teammates cheering each other on and I was proud. Once I went over the desks I zigzagged around the cones and picked up the hula hoop and placed it down. I was feeling so hot and excited because this was our last game so I ran as fast as I could like my life was depending on it. Then when I got to the buckets I could hear Mrs Forsyth saying we had only 10 secs so I sprinted back and by the time she said 1 I made it back to my teammates. 

We all lined up and got ready to see who came first in 2021!. As I was sitting down in my house colors we all had to sing our house charts. Once that had finished we all got ready and drumrolled for the winning house. I crossed my fingers and prayed and when I opened my eyes Mrs Patea had called the winning house color and first place was KAURI! hooray for the winning house we got up and cheered them on and once we all finished cheering we all walked into our classes and got ready for our playtime.
