percentages

Today Mrs Tofa had split up the class into 4 groups and we had to solve with our fractions, decimals and percentages and in my group was Fine, Jasel, Uinita, Taylor, key, Aj and Ali-jon.

our problem is, what percentage of the pizza would each of you have?

so we have 9 slices on a pizza so 1/9 our fraction is 1/9 and we know that 100 is a whole so we split 100 with 90 so we have 90% divided by 9 which equals to the answer 10 so that means there we will get a 10% amount on each 9 slices. so that will leave us with another 10 percent left so we split 10 into a 1 so 1% will go on the 9 slices again so 10% + 1% which equals to 11% now we will have 11% on 9 slices but then we will have one more left and with that 1% we will half it between the nine of us and that will equal to 11.1% then there will be 1 more so we will do it again and again till we have no more left!

Statistics

Today my classroom done math so we first started off with..

mean - stands for average - 14.45

median - middle - 14

mode - most occurring - 19

we was givien a line of numbers so it goes like this

19,14,24,8,19,9,13,16,19,6

firstly we add all numbers then we put it all in order so

6,8,9,12,13,14,16,19,19,19,24

now that this is in order we will be checking which number is the most occurring! and that is 19 because there are 3 groups of 19 and that goes into (mode).

now that you are done  we will add all the numbers up so 6+8+9+12+13+14+16+19+19+19+19+24 and that gives us 178 and we will divided it with 11! when that is done we will get 14.45!

this is what we learnt!

Taha - Maths group

You are baking a cake and need 1/4 of a cup of chocolate powder. You only have a 1/3 or ⅛ measuring cups. How will you measure the cocoa powder?

Simplify

so I took the numerator which is 2 and divided it with 2 so 2 divided by 2 is 1 and then I took the denominator and that is 8 and divided it with 2 so 8 divided by 2 = 4 so 2/8 is the same as 1/4 because 2/8 covers the same area as 1/4.

Architecture

Walt: we are learning to create accurate floor plans for building a house.

We used floorplancreator.net to do this.                                                                                                                             Here are my plans!

This is my 2d blueprint for my house

Here is my 3d floor plan

What I learnt from this activity is:
- learning how to draw windows, beds and other objects
- learning how to do a floor plan
- practicing how to design a house in 2d and 3d
- learning how to design a house and rooms on my first try!

when I grow up, if I join the building industry, I would like to be a painter!.

I enjoyed it and it was amazing!
Thank you Mrs. Raj and Miss Woodhall!
